29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (a) Location - 15 South Avenue, Burlington, MA: On or about 11/07/2019, hazardous chemicals including corrosive liquid cleaning, descaling, and disinfecting agents are used in the kitchen of a restaurant and the employer has not provided effective information to the employees including, but not necessarily limited to: the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.1200 and the location and availability of a written hazard communication program, including the required list of hazardous chemicals and safety data sheets. (b) Location - 15 South Avenue, Burlington, MA: On or about 11/07/2019, hazardous chemicals including corrosive liquid cleaning, descaling, and disinfecting agents are used in the kitchen of a restaurant and the employer has not provided effective training to the employees including, but not necessarily limited to: detecting the presence or release of a hazardous chemical in the work area, the physical, health, simple asphyxiation hazards of the chemicals in the work area, the measures employees can take to protect themselves from these hazards, and the details of a written hazardous communication program.
