Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001B Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): This standard is applicable to construction employment as defined by 29 CFR 1926.59. Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: The employer is failing to train employees on the hazards associated with using and working with chemicals in the work place. This was most recently evident during an inspection on October 22, 2019 at the jobsite located at 14184 S. 220th St, Gretna, NE 68028. The employer is exposing employees to chemicals such as refrigerant, cleaners, primers, and fuel and has not created a written hazard communication program in which to train employees and provide effective information on the hazards of the chemicals used.
