29 CFR 1910.28(b)(15): Walking-working surfaces not otherwise addressed. Except as provided elsewhere in this section or by other subparts of 29 CFR part 1910, the employer must ensure each employee on a walking-working surface 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level is protected from falling by: i) Guardrail System; ii) Safety net system; or iii) Personal fall protection systems, such as personal fall arrest, travel restraint, or positioning systems. a) On 9/14/2019 the employer did not ensure employees working in a racking system approximately six feet above a concrete flooring was protected from falling. An employee was retrieving tires from a racking system. The employee climbed on top of the Walkie (model #RPXT2W2G60BV), then climbed up in the racking system, the employee was standing on a tire in the second tier, while trying to retrieve a tire on the third tier.
