Section 5(a)(l): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free a from recognized hazard that was causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that : On August 30, 2019 an employee was exposed to a nip point hazard created between the line #7 discharge conveyor and an automated conveyor that transferred bagged bread to an area where the bagged bread would be packaged. A feasible and acceptable method to abate this hazard would be the following: Install signage in the area requiring employees to keep out of the area and in the event an employee is required to unjam bread that gets caught in the area, the employee will be required to use a hand tool that will keep them well outside of any potential nip point hazard.
