29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: Employees were exposed to chemical hazards. Employees engaged in using torches to cut apart a combine in a salvage yard were exposed to fire / explosion hazards in that the employer did not provide hazard communication program training to inform employees of the hazards associated with the chemicals with which they work. Hazardous chemicals included but were not limited to gasoline, liquid oxygen, and propane.
