29 CFR 1910.22(a)(3): Walking-working surfaces are maintained free of hazards such as sharp or protruding objects, loose boards, corrosion, leaks, spills, snow, and ice. a) At the bear cages, on or about July 22, 2019 - Employees were exposed to live bears during safari tours that were contained behind a 4 inch by 4 inch gridded cage. During safari tours, employees interacted with bears through the fence performing a showcase where a variety of tricks, including hi-fives and facts were demonstrated while feeding the bears marshmallows. As a result, an employee was injured when a North Himalayan Black Bear reached through the cage and mauled an employee.
