29 CFR 1926.501(a)(2): The employer did not determine if the walking/working surfaces on which its employees were to work had the strength and structural integrity to support employees safely: (a) Telecommunications Tower, 328 Stafford Forge Rd., West Creek, NJ; on or about June 28, 2019, Rise & Rise Wireless Inc. employees were using the T-bar antenna supports of a 150 foot tall telecommunication tower as their walking/working surface. The employer had not assessed the strength and structural integrity of the surfaces to ensure that they were capable of supporting employees safely. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
