29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by hot surfaces, point of operation and moving/rotating parts: On or about June 12, 2019: Employees operating machines were exposed to a caught-in hazard from the unguarded blades and rollers. a) Winder Line 1-8- employees operating the machine were exposed to struck by hazards when employees have to adjust the blades or reach over the blades during operation. b) Extrusion line 8 - employees operating equipment were exposed to compression injuries when a roller was not guarded and employees can reach under the roller during operation.
