29 CFR 1926.302(b)(3): All pneumatically driven nailers, staplers, and other similar equipment provided with automatic fastener feed, which operate at more than 100 p.s.i. pressure at the tool did not have a safety device on the muzzle to prevent the tool from ejecting fasteners, unless the muzzle is in contact with the work surface: On or about February 18, 2019, at 15701 Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, 33160, an employee was exposed to being struck-by a high-velocity nail when operating a PowRyte, pneumatic nail gun with air pressure set at 145 psi and the guns sequential trip setting was bypassed to operate at a contact trip setting, while conducting finish carpentry work at a high-rise building under construction. On or about February 18, 2019, at 15701 Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, 33160, an employee was exposed to being struck-by a high-velocity nail when operating a Central Pneumatic, nail gun, Serial number 362311719, with air pressure set at 145 psi and the guns sequential trip setting was bypassed to operate at a contact trip setting, while conducting finish carpentry work at a high-rise building under construction.
