Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.1060(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each employee was trained by a competent person which would enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairs, and the procedures to follow to minimize those hazards. (a) 910 Old Vicksburg Rd, Clinton MS - On or about December 7, 2018 the employer did not ensure employees had received adequate training on the safe use of ladders at the workplace. Employees were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 55 feet from the top of the tower to the middle section due to not receiving adequate training on procedures and requirement of attaching lanyards of personal fall arrest system to the ladder safety devices.
