29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by rotating parts: In the following locations three drill presses were not guarded at the point of operation to protect employees from flying metal fragments or caught-in hazards: 1. Third floor Maintenance area: A Dayton 10" drill press 2. Vehicle Maintenance Facilities: A Dayton Transman 20" drill press and a Walton 6s drill press The U. S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 11443085, citation number 01, item number 01 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/17/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 600 N.
