29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4): Work rest(s) on grinding machinery were not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one eighth inch: In the following locations, work rests were not properly adjusted and employees were exposed to pinch hazards. 1. Vehicle Maintenance Facilities: A Daytona 8" bench grinder work rest was 3/8th of an inch from the grinding wheel. 2. Carpenters Shop: A Wissota 8" Bench grinder work rest was loose and hanging below the grinding wheel. The U. S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1143085, citation number 01, item number 02 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/17/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 600 N. Lincoln Ave, Pasadena, CA 91101.
