29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide adequate training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program was understood by employees and that employees acquired the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage and removal of energy control devices: On or about November 26, 2018, in Building 2 W located at 2 Weather Tech Way in Bolingbrook, Illinois, an employee (material handler) was directed to remove jammed debris from the bottom area of the filtering system in Grinder #1. The employer did not provide the employee training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program was understood and that the employee acquired the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage and removal of energy control devices. The employee was thereby exposed to the hazards associated with moving parts.
