29 CFR 1926.1101(f)(2)(i): The employer with a work operation covered by the asbestos standard did not ensure that a "competent person" conducted an exposure assessment immediately before or at the initiation of the operation to ascertain expected exposures during that operation or workplace: At a worksite located 3119 to 3123 (Shankman Building) and 3125-3133 (Michaelson Building), Kansas City, MO 64109: Employees were exposed to asbestos containing materials. The employer failed to ensure that an initial exposure assessment was performed prior to, or at the beginning of the work operations at the worksite. Work began at the worksite and no assessment was performed in time to provided information necessary to assure that all control systems planned are appropriate for that operation and will work properly.
