29 CFR 1926.303(c)(2): Work rest(s) provided on floor or bench mounted grinder(s) were kept at a distance in excess of one-eighth inch from the surface of the wheel: At a worksite located 3119 to 3123 (Shankman Building) and 3125-3133 (Michaelson Building), Kansas City, MO 64109: Employees were exposed to struck-by hazards. The employer failed to ensure that a bench grinder being used to sharpen metal scrappers had an adjusted work rest within 1/8 of an inch. In addition the grinder was also missing the work rest on onside, while the other was over 1/8 inch.
