29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide adequate training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program was understood by employees: a. On or about October 10, 2018, the employer did not ensure employees were adequately trained in the purpose and function of the energy control program. Employees were required to perform activities such as change blades on equipment including, but not limited to, the #6 Wood-Mizer PD200 tear down band saw, and are exposed to amputation hazards from potential movement of the blade in that the equipment was not properly deenergized.
