29 CFR 1910.252(b)(3): Employees exposed to the hazards created by welding, cutting, or brazing operations were not protected by personal protective equipment in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.132: Note: Appropriate protective clothing required for welding operation will vary with the size, nature and location of the work to be performed. On or about August 8, 2018 and times prior, the employer did not ensure that employees were wearing welding sleeves and flame retardant clothing in station 50 on line 3 when performing MIG welding that exposed them to chemical burns from welding rays. The SAF-Holland, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.252(b)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 944931, citation number 1, item number 1/b and was affirmed as a final order on February 6, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 308 West Walton St, Warrenton, MO 63383.
