29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: The employer is failing to protect employees from physical, chemical, fire and explosion hazards. This was most recently documented on or about July 3, 2018 at A.M. Pyrotechnic Displays LLC, and A.M. Pyrotechnics LLC, located at 2429 E. 535th Road, Buffalo, MO. The employer did not assess the workplace and all operations therein to determine the type of personal protective equipment, such as but not limited to protective gloves, eyewear, non static clothing, hearing protection, and flammable retardant clothing, to protect employees during the manufacturing, processing and use of display firework devices consisting of Hazard Class/Division 1.3G and 1.4S explosives.
