Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary. The program shall enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairways, and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards. On or about April 26, 2018, during the removal and installation of roofing material of a multi condominium building located at 25863 Kensington Drive, Westlake, Ohio, the employer did not ensure employees using ladders to access and egress from the roof were trained to recognize ladder hazards and the procedures to follow to minimize ladder related safety hazards.
