29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: a) Bay 2 - Hydmech H22-A Bandsaw; On May 9, 2018 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards in that employees were allowed to change the blade of the Hydmech H22-A Bandsaw and the employer had not developed, documented and was not utilizing a hazardous energy control procedure. b) Bay 2 - Hydmech H22-A Bandsaw; On May 9, 2018 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards in that employees were allowed to clean debris from the auger of the Hydmech H22-A Bandsaw and the employer had not developed, documented and was not utilizing a hazardous energy control procedure. SABLE STEEL SERVICES, INC. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1910.147(C)(4)(I), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1007083, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 2 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON MAY 22, 2015, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 2811 DAY STREET, MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA 36103.
