29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor was an alternative fall protection measure provided: (a) Alpine Craftsman and Productions L.L.C. at 1136 Steamboat Blvd., Steamboat Springs, CO 80487: On and before March 22, 2017, the employer did not ensure the employees were protected from injury, in that employees engaged in framing activities on the second level of a residential home had exposure to fall hazards from unprotected floor openings around the inside stairwell that lead down to the first level. This condition exposed the employees to a fall hazard of approximately 9-10 feet. (b) Alpine Craftsman and Productions L.L.C. at 1136 Steamboat Blvd., Steamboat Springs, CO 80487: On and before March 22, 2017, the employer did not ensure the employees were protected from injury, in that employees engaged in framing and siding activities on the 2nd level deck on the outside of a residential home had exposure to fall hazards from unprotected sides and edges. This condition exposed the employees to a fall hazard of approximately 9-10 feet.
