29 CFR 1910.134(d)(1)(iii): The employer did not identify and evaluate the respiratory hazard(s) in the workplace; including a reasonable estimate of employee exposures to respiratory hazards and identification of the contaminant's chemical state and physical form: (a) On or about 02/23/2018 - 13209 Highway 96, Millport, Alabama, Kiln #3, employees were exposed to silica hazards while engaged in activities such as chipping of brick utilizing the Brokk machine inside kilns. The employer failed to evaluate the respiratory hazards associated with the task. (b) On or about 02/23/2018 - 13209 Highway 96, Millport, Alabama, Kiln #3, employees were exposed to welding fumes in activities while performing servicing and maintenance operations inside kilns. The employer failed to evaluate the respiratory hazards associated with the task. (c) On or about 02/23/2018 - 13209 Highway 96, Millport, Alabama, Kiln #3, employees were exposed to nuisance dust while performing servicing and maintenance operations inside kilns.
