29 CFR 1910.332(b)(1): Employees shall be trained in and familiar with the safety-related work practices required by 1910.331 through 1910.335 that pertain to their respective job assignments: Entire Facility - The employer did not ensure that employees were trained in and familiar with safety-related work practices, such as the use of special precautionary techniques, personal protective equipment (PPE), insulated tools and insulating and shielding materials necessary to safely accomplish such tasks. Employees were exposed to the hazards of electrocution, electrical shock and arc flash/blast injuries. Maintenance employees performed troubleshooting and servicing tasks on electrical components, including changing blown fuses and voltage testing on energized components up to 480V. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
