29 CFR 1910.1000(a)(2): Employee(s) were exposed to an airborne concentration of carbon monoxide listed in Table Z-1 in excess of the 8 hour Time Weighted Average (TWA) concentration of 50 parts per million (ppm): a) Garage Area: On or about December 27, 2017, a Technician used gasoline powered cleaning equipment to clean the garage floors for approximately three hours. The Technician was exposed to a calculated 8 hour TWA of 258.8 ppm of carbon monoxide, based on the technician's carboxyhemoglobin levels, which is 5.18 times the permissible exposure limit of 50 ppm. a) Garage Area: On or about December 27, 2017, a Technician used gasoline powered cleaning equipment to clean the garage floors for approximately three hours. The Technician was exposed to a calculated 8 hour TWA of 182.1 ppm of carbon monoxide, based on the technician's carboxyhemoglobin levels, which is 3.64 times the permissible exposure limit of 50 ppm. No abatement certification or documentation required.
