29 CFR 1910.132(f)(3)(iii): Inadequacies in an affected employee's knowledge or use of assigned PPE indicate that the employee has not retained the requisite understanding or skill. On or about December 17, 2017 the employer did not ensure that an employee replacing a gasket in a pipe with hazardous chemicals such as but not limited to Carb Off and Super Force in the Fryer Room demonstrated an understanding of what proper personal protective equipment to use. The affected employee was not wearing chemical goggles, apron, and a respirator per the safety data sheets.
