29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: a) Superior Farms, at 4900 Clarkson St., Denver, CO 80216: On and before December 14, 2017, the employer did not develop, document, and utilize lockout tagout procedures for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section. The employer operated several machines that included multiple energy sources, such as, but not limited to, auto hoch cutters, bone dumpsters, multi-vac machines, and cryovac machines. The employer did not develop, document, and utilize energy control procedures to address the specific sources of energy that needed to be controlled when cleaning and maintenance was performed. This condition exposed employees performing maintenance on these machines to laceration and amputation hazards.
