29 CFR 1926.404(b)(1)(ii): On a construction site, where an assured equipment grounding program was not utilized, all 120 volt, single phase, 15 and 20 ampere receptacle outlets which were not a part of the permanent wiring of the building or structure and which were used by employees did not have approved ground-fault circuit interrupters for personnel protection: (a) Patriacca Construction, Inc. @ 10 Stonebridge Drive, Avon, Colorado 81620: On or before November 7, 2017, as part of the accident/injury prevention program under its safety program, the exposing employer did not ensure that where an assured equipment grounding program was not utilized, all 120- volt receptacle outlets had approved ground-fault circuit interrupters. The employer allowed employees to plug extension cords into the outlets of the existing building to power saws and other equipment, and these outlets did not include approved ground-fault circuit interrupters (GFCI) for personnel protection. This condition exposed employees to potential electrical shock hazards at the construction site.
