29 CFR 1910.1026(d)(2)(iii): If monitoring reveals employee exposures to be at or above the action level, the employer shall perform periodic monitoring at least every six months. On or about December 11, 2017, an employee welding stainless steel in the weld shop and was exposed to hexavalent chromium at an eight-hour time-weighted average level of 12.8 micrograms per cubic meter, approximately 5.12 times over the action level of 2.5 microgram per cubic meter, derived from one sample collected over 480 minutes period.
