29 CFR 1910.137(c)(2)(ii): Insulating equipment was not inspected for damage before each day's use and immediately following any incident that can reasonably be suspected of causing damage. Insulating gloves shall be given an air test, along with the inspection. (a) Electricians used Salisbury rubber insulating gloves, Class 00, Type I gloves rated to 500 volts AC when working on energized circuits, without performing an air test on gloves before each use. This exposed electricians to an electrical shock hazard. (b) Electricians used Salisbury rubber insulating gloves, Class 0, Type I gloves rated to 1000 volts AC when working on energized circuits, without performing an air test on gloves before each use. This exposed electricians to an electrical shock hazard.
