29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide adequate training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program was understood by employees: a. On or about April 10, 2017, the employer did not ensure employees were adequately trained in the purpose and function of the energy control program. Employees were required to perform activities such as performing servicing and maintenance of the hydraulic systems on automated side loader refuse trucks, and are exposed to struck by and caught in hazards from moving parts in that the equipment was not properly deenergized.
