29 CFR 1910.144(a)(1)(iii): Stop buttons or electrical switches which letters or other markings appear, used for emergency stopping of machinery were not red: a) Planer mill (Planer infeed control panel); On or about May 31, 2017 and at times prior thereto, the employer exposed employees to caught-in and struck-by hazards in that the employer failed to ensure the emergency stop button used to stop the infeed conveyors was red. b) Planer mill (Sorter control panel); On or about May 31, 2017 and at times prior thereto, the employer exposed employees to caught-in and struck-by hazards in that the employer failed to ensure the emergency stop button used to stop the sorter conveyors was red.
