29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): The employer did not protect each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels, by using guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system; or, on roofs 50 feet (15.25 m) or less in width, the use of a safety monitoring system alone: The employer is failing to protect employees from fall hazards associated with performing residential construction activity while exposed to falls 6 feet or greater on a low slope roof. The most recent occurrence of this was observed on May 4, 2017 at the existing residential home located at 909 Elk Ridge Dr. Elkhorn, NE 68022 where the employer employees exposed to fall hazards while laying the felt on the deck roof.
