Text For Citation: 02 Item/Group: 005 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i): Live parts of electric equipment operating at 50 volts or more were not guarded against accidental contact by approved cabinets of other forms of approved enclosures, or other means listed under this provision: a) Planer Mill - near Strapper; On or about May 24, August 28, 2013 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to electrical hazards in that employees were required to walk and work around a hydraulic power unit with an electrical cover removed exposing live 480 volt AC 3 phase. Dudley Lumber Company, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 934646, citation number 1, item number 12 and was affirmed as a final order on March 4, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 8575 Hwy 280 East, Salem AL.
