29 CFR 1910.219(d)(1): Pulley(s) with part(s) seven feet or less from the floor or work platform were not guarded in accordance with the requirements specified in 29 CFR 1910.219(m) and (o): a) Planer Mill; On or about May 24, 2017 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards in that employees were required to walk and work around an air compressor that had unguarded pulleys. b) Saw Mill - underneath / bottom floor; On or about May 24, 2017 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards in that employees were required to walk and work around a bark belt vibrator motor that had unguarded pulleys. c) Saw Mill - underneath / bottom floor; On or about May 24, 2017 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards in that employees were required to walk and work around a chip belt vibrator motor (middle of the saw mill area) that had unguarded pulleys. d) Saw Mill - underneath / bottom floor; On or about May 24, 2017 and at times prior thereto the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards in that employees were required to walk and work around a chip belt vibrator motor (back of the saw mill area closest to train) that had unguarded pulleys. Dudley Lumber Company, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.219(d)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 934646, citation number 1, item number 8/a and was affirmed as a final order on March 4, 2014, with respect to a workplace located at 8575 Hwy 280 East, Salem AL.
