29 CFR 1910.1025(d)(2): An initial determination was not made to determine if any employee may be exposed to lead at or above the action level: (a) The employer is failing to protect employees from lead-related hazards. This was most recently documented on or about April 11, 2017, when the employer failed to conduct an initial lead exposure determination for employees involved with the production of lead styphnate in Building 85, Bays 601, 701 and 801. Approximately daily, employees utilized inorganic Lead Nitrate during the production of lead styphnate. Abatement certification is required for this item; use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose.
