29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a. Site - On or about March 31, 2017 an employee was seriously injured in a fall from the first floor to the basement level when he stepped out onto a floor cover which was not adequately constructed and was placed over the opening which would eventually house the basement stairs. b. Site - Employees were not protected form falls of approximately 12 feet when the temporary guardrail system on the back porch did not have a mid-rail throughout the complete span.
