P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard(s) of being struck-by: A- Kinderlou Golf Club entrance, Hwy.84 West, Valdosta, Georgia 31603 - Employees flagging oncoming vehicles and employees applying thermo plastic paint between the West bound lane and the deceleration lane were exposed to a struck-by hazard due to the lack of barricades, barriers, and channelizing devices. One feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to install traffic controls such as, but not limited to barricades, barriers, and channelizing devices; and enforce the use of them.
