29 CFR 1926.304(f): Section 9.7 American National Standards Institutes 01.1-1961, Safety Code for Woodworking Machinery as adopted by 29 CFR 1926.304(f): Workman did not receive instructions in the hazards of the machine and the safe method of operation before they were permitted to operate any woodworking machine. a) On or about 5/14/2017, at a jobsite located at 4550 Basket Pak Lane Sarasota (FL), an employee performing frame work cut his index finger while cutting a piece of wood with a circular saw. The employer failed to provide appropriate instruction and training, in regard to machine applications and limitations, potential hazards, operating instructions and specific safety rules; such as but not limited to keeping hands away from cutting area and blade and to keep hands on auxiliary handle or motor housing.
