Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
Section 5(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to mobile equipment crushing hazards: (a) On or about march 8, 2017 for the employee that received crushing injuries from a Bobcat T300 Skid Steer that ran over their foot and leg while they were holding open a plastic curtain above a door entry way of the Office Max building at 4600 13th Avenue South Fargo, ND. Abatement Note: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means of abatement to correct this hazard would be to: 1) Comply with the Bobcat operators manual and training videos. 2) Always use a spotter to ensure a blind entry is clear of personnel before driving into the entry way. 3). Always use a horn or audible signal to identify to people that a Bobcat is entering a blind area.
