29 CFR 1910.1000(e): Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not determined and implemented to achieve compliance with the limits prescribed in 29 CFR 1910.1000(a) through (d): a.) On or about March 2, 2017, the employer failed to implement adequate engineering and/or administrative controls to reduce employee's exposure to Copper Fumes. An employee working in the torching area was overexposed to Copper fumes at an 8 hour time weighted average of 0.126 mg/m3, which exceeded the OSHA permissible exposure limit of 0.1 mg/m3 by 126%. a.) On or about March 2, 2017, the employer failed to implement adequate engineering and/or administrative controls to reduce employee's exposure to Iron Oxide Fumes. An employee working in the torching area was overexposed to Iron Oxide at an 8 hour time weighted average of 20.52 mg/m3, which exceeded the OSHA permissible exposure limit of 10.0 mg/m3 by 205.2%.
