29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function: On or about January 27, 2017, the employer failed to assure that employees required to wear respirators while performing tests on incipient products using compendial methods; maintained a proper sealing surface of the face piece and face. Employees had facial hair that interfered with seal of the face piece and face causing an improper fit and as a result, an employee sustained health effects associated with exposure to potassium cyanide.
