29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) a) Fort Pickett, Blackstone, VA 23824: On or about February 1, 2017, and times prior thereto, employees required to work with hazardous chemicals, such as (but not limited to) BASF Master Seal M 200SLV INTNL that contained Stoddard solvent, toluene-2,4-diisocyanate, and other hazardous chemicals, Master Seal TC 225 tan INTNL that contained 4,4-methylenedicyclohexyl diisocyanate and other hazardous chemicals, were not provided with information on hazardous chemical communications, exposing the workers to potential flammability, inhalation, and respiratory and skin sensitization hazards. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
