29 CFR 1926.857(a): The storage of waste material and debris on any floor shall not exceed the allowable floor loads. (a)Hultgren Construction, LLC at 132-136 S. Phillips Ave., Sioux Falls, SD 57104: On or about and at times prior to December 2, 2016, the controlling and exposing employer did not ensure sections of masonry were not permitted to fall upon the floors of Skelly's and the Copper Lounge floor during demolition. The employer had employees and temporary employees engaged in the removal of a load bearing wall and piled the brick and debris in different areas of the floor without ensuring the safe carrying capacities of the floor were not exceeded. This condition exposed employees to crushing hazards and fall hazards related to floor collapse.
