Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001A Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.962(c): Temporary protective grounds were not placed at such locations and arranged in such a manner that the employer can demonstrate will prevent each employee from being exposed to hazardous differences in electric potential: a) On or about October 20, 2016, and at times prior, workers were exposed to hazardous electrical energy when personal grounds were used in such a manner that a difference in potential was created between the East and West pole at location 331 (an H-Frame structure). Note to paragraph (c): Appendix C to this subpart contains guidelines for establishing the equipotential zone required by this paragraph. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will deem grounding practices meeting these guidelines as complying with paragraph (c) of this section. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (see enclosed Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
