Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 004 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(2)(iii): The employer did not provide information to the employees as to the location and availability of the written hazard communication program, and material safety data sheets required by 29 CFR 1910.1200: On or about October 27, 2016, employees use chemicals such as, but not limited to, propane, WD40, Loctite, and boiler maintenance chemicals. The employer had gone to an online system approximately two years prior to the inspection but employees said the following: a. that the safety data sheets were available in binders at various locations b. that there was an online system but the employee did not know how to access safety data sheets through the online system In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
