29 CFR 1910.1200(j)(2)(ii): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area in accordance with the update to the hazard communication program required by paragraph (h)(1) and (h)(3): The employer is failing to protect employees from chemical hazards while engaging in sand plastering and grinding activities. This was most recently documented on or about August 12, 2016, in Andover, Kansas, where employees using hazardous chemicals, including but not limited to: Duracem® F Portland Cement, Natural Sand or Gravel, Ash Grove Portland Cement, and Prosoco Sure Klean® 600, were exposed to respiratory hazards due to the employer's written hazard communication program not being updated in accordance with the revised hazard communication standard. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(1) requires certification that the abatement of the above violation is complete.
