29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1): The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace: (Construction Reference 1926.103): The employer is failing to protect employees from chemical hazards while engaging in sand plastering and grinding activities. This was most recently documented on or about August 12, 2016, in Andover, Kansas, where employees using hazardous chemicals, including but not limited to: Duracem® F Portland Cement, Natural Sand or Gravel, Ash Grove Portland Cement, and Prosoco Sure Klean® 600, were exposed to respiratory hazards in that medical evaluation was not administered prior to wearing the respirator. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(1) requires certification that the abatement of the above violation is complete.
