29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6)(ii): Except as provided in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(7) and 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(8), the employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with the product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof, which provide at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals and which, in conjunction with the other information immediately available to employees under the hazard communication program, would provide employees with the specific information regarding the physical and health hazards of the hazardous chemical: (a) Workplace - A spray bottle containing a label of its former contents, Hot Shot Bed Bug and Flea Killer, had been refilled of Clorox Bleach and Ridgway's Blast-Away Oven and Grill Cleaner for employees to use for cleaning the grills. The container did not contain a label identifying its new contents, on or about August 2, 2016. (b) Workplace - Employees assigned to conduct cleaning were exposed to the hazards of using an opaque white plastic spray bottle having Windex which was not identified by a label or other affixed markings, on or about August 2, 2016. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
