29 CFR 1910.134(d)(2)(i)(B): The employer did not provide a full facepiece pressure demand supplied-air respirator (SAR) with auxiliary self-contained air supply for employee use in IDLH atmospheres: Dana Rail Care, Inc. Tank Car Maintenance & Repair Shop - On or about 12/6/16 and on prior dates, the SAR provided by the employer did not have an auxiliary air supply for employees who entered tank cars to perform maintenance activities, exposing employees to an inhalation hazard. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit abatement certification and documentation, required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
