29 CFR 1926.502(d)(6)(i): A snaphook was engaged directly to webbing, rope or wire rope when not designed for such connections: a) On January 4, 2016, an employee's lifeline used as part of a fall protection system at an elevation of approximately 25 feet was wrapped around a ridge beam and connected back around itself. W & K Construction Carpentry Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.502(d)(6)(i) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 329355, citation 1, item 2a, and was affirmed as a final order on May 30, 2012, with respect to a worksite located at 908 Beverly, Arlington Heights , Illinois. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
